iG adds Breathe and JiaQi as roster shakeup sees Photic and coaching staff depart

iG announced two player additions and multiple staff exits on March 29, bringing Breathe in as their Top Laner and JiaQi in as their Bot Laner.

The player moves come with several departures. Bot laner Photic is no longer with iG, and the organization also confirmed that head coach Mafa, coach KaKAO, and analyst yongsoo have left their roles. iG did not release timelines for the incoming players or details on how the new hires will be integrated.

On paper, the signings plug both a top lane and a bot lane slot, shifting the club’s on-stage makeup. Bringing JiaQi into the bottom lane directly follows Photic’s exit, while Breathe provides a fresh option up top. The simultaneous turnover in coaching and analysis staff means the team will need to rebuild day to day routines as well as in-game plans.

For iG, the immediate task will be stitching the new roster and staff into a coherent unit. JiaQi is now positioned to take the starting bot role previously held by Photic, and Breathe steps into the top lane picture.
