The LEC (League of Legends EMEA Championship) is the top-level Riot league for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In 2026 the competition opened with the new LEC Versus event before moving into the standard Spring and Summer partner-team splits.
The current partner-team lineup includes long-standing brands like G2 Esports and Fnatic, newer staples such as Karmine Corp and Movistar KOI, and the updated 2026 field after Rogue's slot transfer to Natus Vincere. LEC Versus also temporarily brought ERL teams into the top tier at the start of the year.
The region remains defined by sharp drafting, strong personality-driven rivalries, and a broadcast identity that makes the LEC distinct from every other major league.
