BLG and HLE Meet on MSI 2026 Grand Final Stage

BLG and HLE reached the final day of MSI 2026 with one series left to define the event. Bilibili Gaming carried the LPL banner into the Grand Final, while Hanwha Life Esports arrived as the last team standing from the LCK. A title match between Bin and knight on one side, and Zeka, Viper, and Peanut on the other, gave this series immediate weight beyond a single best-of set.

Bilibili Gaming have spent the past few years around the center of every major international conversation, and MSI 2026 added another chapter. Bin remains one of the most recognizable top laners in the world, and knight has long been measured by what he can do on the biggest stages. For BLG, a Grand Final appearance at MSI is not just another playoff result, it is another test of whether one of the LPL's flagship rosters can convert elite domestic expectations into a trophy against Korea's best.

Hanwha Life came into this matchup with a different kind of pressure. HLE's roster has no shortage of proven names, and Viper's return to the top tier of international competition has been one of the most watched storylines of the season. Zeka has built a career on big-match moments, Peanut brings years of experience across LCK title races and global events, and the organization has spent much of this cycle trying to turn talent into a championship run. Their road to MSI relevance also passed through major domestic tests, including the stretch covered in Hanwha Life's LCK MSI path.

This final also fit a familiar regional pattern. LPL and LCK have defined much of modern League of Legends at international events, and a BLG versus HLE meeting on July 12 put that rivalry back under the spotlight. MSI finals often become shorthand for the strength of a region heading into the second half of the season, especially with Worlds still to come later in 2026.

Nothing about this series needed extra framing. BLG brought one of China's most established modern lineups to the stage. HLE answered with a roster packed with Korean veterans and proven carry threats. MSI 2026 closed with Bilibili Gaming and Hanwha Life meeting for the trophy, and that alone made it one of the most important cross-regional clashes of the year.
